Juventud en Acción Reformada (Reformed Youth in Action) is a groundbreaking initiative designed to empower and uplift young men in the Dominican Republic, providing them with the tools and guidance they need to develop spiritually, economically, and socially. One of the biggest problems facing Dominican society is vagancia, or idleness, where young men have nothing important to do or don’t have a reason to do much of anything. Our goal is to create lasting change, promoting unity between Dominicans and Haitians, and fostering a supportive community that nurtures personal growth, by teaching young men the theological, economic, and social principles of success—as Christians, fathers, and productive members of society.

Spiritual Development

With a strong foundation in the Reformed and Presbyterian Christian tradition stemming from John Calvin, our experienced leaders work to help club members embrace the gospel and deepen their understanding of it and the Reformed faith, and to grow as Christian disciples and leaders themselves. We believe that spiritual growth is the key to unlocking the health of the individual, the stability of the family, the freedom of the church, and the prosperity of the community. Without the gospel, nothing else matters!

Economic Empowerment

Juventud en Acción Reformada focuses on productivity as the driving force behind economic development. We guide our members to become economically productive, achieve self-sufficiency, and ultimately generate a surplus that can benefit their families, neighbors, and communities. Your support will help create lasting economic change in the lives of these young men, their families, and everyone around them by supporting their success and giving them a hand up.

Social Enrichment

Our program emphasizes the importance of strong and healthy relationships. This includes instruction in basic etiquette, courtesy, and consideration of others, which teaches club members how to effectively engage with family, peers, women, and the environment at a minimal level from which they can grow. By fostering a sense of community, we empower young men to become role models and mentors for future generations in both the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
